Getting started

Welcome to Scalp Boss. This page covers what you need to do once before your booking page can take real reservations.

What Scalp Boss is

A booking and client management tool built for head spas. Your clients book online at a page you control. You see every appointment on a calendar, store client notes and history, and run a few marketing automations that fill in slow weekdays and bring lapsed clients back.

The five things to set up first

You'll find each of these in the left sidebar of your dashboard. Do them in order — later steps depend on earlier ones.

  1. Hours. Tell Scalp Boss when you're open. Settings → Business Hours. Closed days are off by default; toggle a day on and set the open/close time.
  2. Services. Add every treatment you offer with its price, duration, and a buffer (cleanup time after the appointment). Services → New service. Group similar services into categories so your booking page reads cleanly.
  3. Staff. Add each therapist or technician. Assign each one to the services they're trained on. Set their weekly schedule under their profile.
  4. Rooms. Add each treatment room or station. If a service can only happen in certain rooms, link them. Scalp Boss won't double-book a room.
  5. Stripe. Connect your Stripe account so deposits and full payments land in your bank, not ours. See the Stripe Connect help page for the walk-through.

Once those five are in place, your booking page is live and ready to share.

Where your booking page lives

Your booking URL is scalpboss.app/your-business-slug. The slug is what you picked when you signed up. Test it yourself before you put it on your website or in your Instagram bio — book a fake appointment to confirm the flow looks right, then cancel it from the dashboard.

What's next

  • Add brand colors and a logo on the booking page → see "Setting up your booking page."
